Grandpa preferred everything the way it was when he was young, and he’ll tell you so every chance he gets. Mention that you liked the old brown LEGOŽ bricks better than the new ones, and he’ll say that when he was a kid, the only color you could get was red and you were happy to have it.
Ever since the first play themes came around, he’s been grumpy about all of those new-fangled pieces like doors, windows, and anything else that isn’t shaped like a brick. And don’t even get him started on today’s Minifigures with their fancy arms and legs and facial expressions!
